Make An Effort was the second EP by Government Issue, recorded before the sessions that led to Boycott Stabb but not issued until afterward. The EP was released by Fountain Of Youth Records and is the only G. record to feature Brian Baker, then in-between stints with Minor Threat, on guitar. The best thing that Government Issue ever did. I am sure that has something to do with having Brian Baker on guitar for a short time.

I find GI's earlier work scrappy yet pedestrian and everything after "Make An Effort" lackluster. This is their shining moment. Too bad it didn't last longer.
